Ground Mace
Mace comes from a net-like casing that surrounds the nutmeg seed within the fruit. It is removed, flattened and then dried. It can used in flake form or ground. Ground mace is a vibrant orange-red color with a warm fragrance and spicy flavor similar to nutmeg, only a slightly higher potency.
